President of the ISI Foundation, advisor of the European Commission, was awarded the 2011 Majorana Prize for field theory and the Volta medal. His activity is currently in the area of statistical mechanics, quantum information and computation and “Big Data”.

Founding Partner of Vega Research Laboratories, Professor of Computer Science at the University of Genoa (Italy) and Chair of IEEE Italy Section Computational Intelligence Society Chapter. He leads several national and international projects in AI and on its applications to health.

Prof. Leif Peterson

Founding Principal at NXG Logic, a start-up for software development of statistical methods, machine learning, neural networks, and text mining. Adjunct Professor of Biostatistics and Data Science at University of Texas, School of Public Health (Houston). He has been funded by research grants from NIH and NASA for over 20 years, and has significant experience in numerical methods and algorithm development.

Prof. Alexandru Floares

Owner at OncoPredict, at SAIA and at Artificial Intelligence Expert. He is leading projects aimed at applying Artificial Intelligence in Precision/Personalized Oncology, to develop highly accurate predictive models for diagnosis, prognosis, and response to treatment.

Dr. Massimo Esposito

Researcher at ICAR-CNR and responsible of the project area “Health, care and well-being” of the DIITET Department of CNR. He has been involved in several national and European projects focused on the application of AI in the health care domain.

Professor and Head of Department of Applied Mathematics at Liverpool John Moores University (UK). His research focus is advanced data analysis for decision support, in particular with applications to personalised medicine, public health, sports analytics and digital marketing.

Prof. Giovanni Miragliotta

Senior director at Digital Innovation Observatories of the Politecnico di Milano, where he leads the research streams on Internet of Things, Industry 4.0 and AI. Co-Founder of IoT Lab, the applied research lab which joins Management and Computer Science competences of PoliMi.

Prof. Marco Antoniotti
